It was awesome meeting Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid, and the other young actors.
They were all really happy to be working and surfing in Hawaii.
It was especially fun for me because I got to work with some old friends, like actor Ross Thomas who I worked along side with in Beyond the Break about 4 years ago! The Director of Soul Surfer, Sean McNamara was also the producer and one of our directors on Beyond the Break, it's so easy and fun working with him, he's really laid back and always has a great attitude.
The local crew is the best of course and this time I got to hang out with a lot of the young up and coming surfer girls in Hawaii. In fact Alyssa Quizon was my stunt double for the film, she even cut her hair to match me!
Producers say the movie may come out in September, I hope everyone enjoys it and that the audience doesn't hate me for too long because I play Malina, the tough competitive girl in the movie. I can't wait for people all over the world to hear about Bethany and how God turned a scary situation into something good!
